THE NURSERY

About the project

One of the rooms I was saddest to leave in our Little Blue House was the nursery. The plaid flannel curtains, the low-pile carpet I had picked, even the creaky 1940’s closet door. So when I thought about which project to tackle first in our Colorado home, the new nursery was at the top of my list.

I worked with the builder-grade bones of the room to create something calming & whimsical. A bold DIY starry ceiling ties everything together, making the sophisticated furniture choices feel fun enough for a busy two-year-old.
